UPDATE on “The Book” – 7 November, 2015

Lhamo Dorje Cover

Here November arrives, 2015 rushes to a close, and 2016 is sounding like a good year to go to print (how’s that for a spin?).

I’ve decided to self-publish All About Enlightenment, and since that turn eliminates my concerns about a publisher caring whether book content resides online, I’ve also re-published several posts that I had hidden back in September.

Now I’m welcoming input, feedback, from you!

In this post I’ve shared four studies I’ve done for AAE’s cover – do you have a preference?

Before you comment, please note: As I’ve continued to edit and rearrange the book’s content, it’s surreptitiously expanded. We may now be looking at a multitude of volumes – the number 7 comes to mind. So whatever cover approach lands on the top of the pile may need to adapt to variations.

The tenacity of a Table Of Contents amazes me: as I’ve wrangled with it over the past few months, it’s sprouted a will like a dandelion forcing its way through asphalt. We decided to arrange the book along some quite Buddhist lines (maybe I’ll take the time to explain later), and gaps blinked forth like those seeds carried on the wind. The more I added, the more little voices whispered “I need to be here too”.

At this point, All About Enlightenment has sprung from it’s 120 pages in 2010 into a 700-page-and-growing behemoth. More explanation. More illustration. More examples. More connections. At times I’ve felt so overwhelmed I’ve resorted to maintaining sanity by adhering note cards to the dining room wall. And then going out for a drink.

I’m also adding content to Zazzle (if you’re not Zazzle-savvy you’ll have to wait until I’m ready to post links and then you can order t-shirts), and looking back through the hundreds of images on my hard-drive for flip-book candidates to publish on Amazon. There are a few videos I was building frame-by-frame that I hope will become lovely collections of encouraging images.

Thank you for bearing with me along this journey.

Wheels and Worlds

WHEEL_20151106-ver8-RENDER 1

Lately I’ve been fascinated by the Earth Wisdom (Native American) Medicine Wheel. I’m digging in to find connections between it and Heruka’s mandala (Chakrasamvara), and this sketch represents my thoughts in progress. I feel countless layers interlacing about that Center Point, worlds beyond the ones we know…

The colors of the Medicine Wheel moons, paths, etc. borrow inspiration from the crystal Medicine Wheel created by the wonderful folks at Crystal Vaults, based on the book by Sun Bear. Perhaps I can take this into a 3D rendering someday, but for now the charteuse/magenta tilted axis (slightly NNE & SSW) represents beings and energies above and below the surface of the Earth.

Here’s the link to Crystal Vaults’ image of the wheel they offer in their kit: http://crystalvaults.com/medicine-wheel-guide/native-american-medicine-wheel. They also publish an online guide that I imagine several of my friends will enjoy.

Thus continues my yearning to integrate wisdom available from all our cultures here on Earth and beyond. I’m still spinning in that state of fascination and rearranging, not yet having arrived at a place anywhere near reaching insights or conclusions.

connecting and channeling 02

[from Lhamo Dorje]

(note from Leslee: I was given this information in September 2011, to help me understand how my channeling methods work, and also how people channel in different ways. The information became even more relevant a few weeks later, when I began playing with Ghost Radar, which has turned out to be another possible method for channeling.)

Please see below for a transcript of the notes in the diagram, with explanations, and links to additional posts that explain further. )

diagram: how channeling works with energy & human bodies

(Explanations in parentheses)

1. Physical energy requires a medium for transmission; mind “travels” independently of any media.

(The upper portion of the diagram indicates the etheric energy grid that pervades all space and matter, transcending dimension, frequency, amplitude, and wave shape.)

2. The grid is much like a net.

(Although the grid is not physical, it exhibits multi-dimensional rhythms and patterns that overlap and interlace. Our Universe is constructed – by all of ourselves – with an “oscillating” quality, such that phenomena synchronize and intersect. This way, our less subtle minds may arise, as well as physical phenomena. This oscillation which manifests events distinguishes the difference between our minds residing in their Ultimate Nature, and when we choose to emanate and participate – or play – in this illusory world.)

3. Mind intensifies.

(When Mind develops coherence and awareness, and thereby intensifies, it begins its manifestation cycle. Initially, it “appears” simply as what we might call a “node” on the grid. Once the mind/thought/intention reaches a certain level of intensity, it begins to demonstrate subtle physical properties. Please note, the “certain” level of intensity simply means that there is a point at which this happens; the level/point may be different for all phenomena, it occurs spontaneously and is quite impossible to predict. But it’s distinctly recognizable when it occurs, so people with subtle awareness might be able to “know” when things “happen” this way.)

4. Mind travels instantaneously to “nodes” on the grid.

(Remember that the grid pervades all matter, including your body.)

(As connections form between nodes that may appear outside your mind and body, and nodes within your body, the power of the mind begins to manifest physical energy.)

5. Physical energy dissipates.

(As skin works to develop “energy nodes” – which humans understand as part of their nervous systems – some of the nodes develop into receptors for this energy arising from mind/thought.  These “mind nodes” serve as the transformation points that interface between the physical body of a person, and the etheric energy grid. The mind nodes function much like electrical transformers, and terminals on a circuit board. The body’s subtle energy system may be compared to a circuit board.)

(This body network is made up of channels/circuits and sparks or “drops”, as have been described by yogis.)

6. Skin.

(Once the manifesting energy reaches the mind nodes at the skin, the quality of the energy being transmitted through the body transforms. Bear in mind that all of this happens instantaneously, even though the description may take some time to read and absorb.)

7. Nerve Ganglia.

(Here the energy is more suited to travel along the nerve ganglia, through the channels & circuits of the body.)

8. Mind travels instantaneously to related “nodes” on the grid.

(The circuits and channels work equally well in both directions. We both send and receive energy, thoughts, and especially the very subtle or sub-conscious mind… spontaneously. We are all constantly “wired” to the grid, and may access it on demand, once our bodies have established some “highways”. We build our highways through meditation, which we may practice as a formal sitting, or while in a trance state and performing tasks or actions, or during sleep.)

9. Physical energy travels through the body in loops (circuits), tied to the organs. It meets with resistance from negative energy.

(The loops are another manifestation of oscillation. They behave with a structure or hierarchy that closely resembles musical note octaves. Frequencies and amplitudes nest within one another, carrying information on multiple levels.)

10. Kidneys Intestines Stomach Heart Brain

(These organs play particular roles in transmitting messages within the body. Their relationship to the Central Channel – being slightly off-center – expresses how energy needs to be shifted around in order to induce movement. They draw energy from the Central Channel in ways that keep the highways clear, and keep the circuits healthy and vibrant.)

(When we have healthy organs, the energy in our circuits flows freely. In this relationship, the organs and circuits complement each other. When we have pain or exhibit aging, this indicates that there is some damage in our circuits. From the faulty “wiring”, the organs begin to “short out”, and health issues begin to manifest.)

(When this happens, people usually think there is a problem. However, sometimes energy needs to be held in check. The body knows when to do this, and it may exhibit symptoms of ill health when this is happening.)

11. Lungs are separate system.

(The lungs filter, recycle, and store much more than air-borne nutrients. They also act as a barrier, modifying the energy of entities that we breathe in. In this way we purify and transmute negative energy through our breathing. This is what makes the Buddhist practice of Taking and Giving so powerful.)

(Most of the time, people simply absorb and transmute whatever comes their way. With Taking and Giving, people actually attract negative energy from others with the intent of purifying it for them. This is done through the breath and strong visualizations or meditative intent.)

(The lungs protect people from subtle beings that might be imperceptible to us. Ghosts, spirits, and “extra-terrestrial” beings often have bodies that are more subtle than human, but have a dimension, frequency and amplitude that may fit within those of human bodies. Therefore, it’s possible for them to interlace with more gross physical bodies in ways that may be virtually undetectable.)

(The lungs protect people powerfully, and deep breathing strengthens the filtering power of the tissues and energy of the lungs.)

12. Mind skates along these pathways; It also pervades among the “loops”. No resistance to phys. influence; only mental resistance.

(Because mind is completely independent of form or substance, physical matter cannot interfere with its transmission. However, mental resistance can interrupt – or reinforce – the path of mind effortlessly. Clear intention works like a lightning bolt to blast through obstructions. Mixed intentions jumble the oscillations of mind, and resolve can crumble very quickly we allow doubt to chip away at our focus.)

13. The mind uses the “loops” established  by the physical body, not because it needs to, but because the body is accustomed to flow(ing) along these paths. When the mind travels intensely outside of established “loops”, this can disturb the physical energy system, and can cause disease or illness. Blocked energy=illness.

(This is why it benefits people to take new energetic endeavors gradually, whether one is learning meditation or channeling. “Pushing” may cause more difficulty than necessary.)

(Also, for people who already channel, they may find that new methods and connections arise for them. Each method or connection may utilize a different pathway/circuit/channel that ones already in use, so a prudent Lightworker will allow these changes to develop at a natural pace.)

Feel free to print and share. Most of them are small enough that you can print them and laminate them, and they’ll fit into a pocket – I keep plenty around, so there’s always one nearby!

Please see the bottom of the post for suggestions about laminating the chart for durability.

We jokingly call this the “SENIOR CHART“; a friend of mine needs the large letters for weaker eyes. You may fit one or two of these on letter-sized or A4 paper.

EMOTIONS CHART: This chart was developed to help me (Leslee) during a time of great emotional stress. I found that the swaying motion of the pendulum scanning the chart soothed and calm my mind. It helps me to clarify emotions when I feel confused. Also, I think it has a right-brain/left-brain connection effect, that works a bit like hypnotism or EMDR. I hope to post about this soon, and am working on a short video to illustrate how I use it.

PATH TO ENLIGHTENMENT CHART: This one works similarly to the Emotions Chart, but I think it has a deeper effect, and is attuned more for use in Spiritual Path work. It’s my understanding that an important part of using this chart is to allow it and the pendulum to show you the meanings of the colors and imagery – for yourself.

ANGELIC REALMS CHART: This Alpha-numeric chart also includes indicators for the Archangel Michael, as well as the Heavenly assemblies of the Oikos and the Underworld protectors of the Keres.

COMPOSITE POCKET CHARTS: These charts feature digital imagery guided by Heruka & Lhamo Dorje, with a basic Alpha-Numeric chart layout. The composite should work for US letter-sized or A4 paper, just print to fit margins. The letters are in the upper portion of the chart to leave room for you thumb to hold the chart below. Once printed and cut apart, these charts are pocket-sized.

If you have access to a laminator, it’s ideal to laminate your charts with space between them, so you can get a good continuous seal around the edges. This keeps water out and prolongs the life of the chart. A chart laminated in this way appears in this video, and you can tell it’s pretty well withstood creasing from living in my pockets!

Otherwise, you can laminate an entire sheet and then cut the charts apart. Then, if you wrap tape around the cut edges, this helps.

As another option, you can cover the chart with a series of strips of clear tape. Be sure to overlap the seams a bit, and cover both faces as well as the edges.

Your pendulum may take a quick practice session to familiarize itself with a new chart. Just let the pendulum wander around the chart, and you’ll know when everything is ready to start working together.

Remember to close one eye so you can clearly detect the character the pendulum is selecting, and keep your eye on the tip of the pendulum 9sending it energy), while using your peripheral vision to spot the chart characters.

the new mainstream: reclaiming the power we give to negativity

This world believes that negativity is our most powerful commodity. Just look at the power we give it.

We roll along with the perpetual-motion machine of our fascination with “flaws”… We traipse after whichever pundit offers the most biting wit… We worship cleverness over wisdom… We seem compelled to join in with the gnashing of teeth and pounding of fists…

It seems to make us feel “right”, in so many ways, and on so many levels.

But it really just hurls our power and spirit into the black hole of ignorance.

Thank goodness we can change this world.

We can reclaim the great inner power that we give to negativity. It takes patient perseverance and flexibility.

I’m trained as an architect & interior designer. In the design world, criticism often forms the very foundation of our activity. We can find this easily… when we really look for the underlying meaning of much that we do.

When I discovered Buddhist Teachings and began trying to follow Them, I learned that one of my most important practices (and biggest challenges) is trying to maintain mindfulness of speech & mind. I realized that previously, I had been training for decades to find fault.

I began to see that contributing to the design process often requires making comments that might be perceived as hurtful. In that moment of decision-making (What to say, what to say?), I always hate noticing that the most vehemently critical and negative comments may garner the most attention.

Still, we do need to look for better ways of doing things; we just need to do it in a non-destructive manner.

A spectre of confusion hovers menacingly about the intent to improve our minds and world. How do we manage to observe and eradicate perceived “faults” without criticizing unnecessarily?

How can we truly improve this world of ours?

Much of politics revolves around “outsmarting” perceived foes… Much of entrepreneurial “success” relies upon “beating to the punch” and “outdoing the competition”…

There’s a movement towards conscientious entrepreneurship that seems to be building steam, and that’s a good thing.

From my perspective, however, these examples are generally arising within spiritual circles, while the majority of the business world trudges along with the competitive status quo. How can we blend these two worlds more?

I design shopping malls. The mention of sustainability (much less, concern for the welfare of mankind) in that arena usually draws a chuckle… Or confounded silence.

How do we mainstream a movement that is based on acknowledging our interconnectedness?

It would be great to hear figures like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates say, “Our challenge this year is to out-kind our colleagues!” or, “That person out-wised me again! Look how many people benefited! I need to learn their secret!”

For as long as we value cleverness over kindness, we will continue to scratch our heads and wring our hands over the way this world appears.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a foundation would arise that would sponsor a ten-year global study to compare two business models: Cooperative versus Competitive?

I envision a time when I no longer feel that in order to survive in this outer world, I must hide my inner world. As a spiritual person immersed in a worldly world, sometimes I feel like a terrorist being water-boarded… just for trying to keep the faith.

But I do maintain great faith that every moment of positive thought or beneficial intention wields the power to erase centuries of selfishness and “harm”.

I’ve seen the results, and I want to encourage anyone else who wishes for the entire world to experience peace and kindness.

Just keep your intention and turn your back on negativity, and its power will wane with neglect. Stay in the world if you can, and provide an example of being The Exception, until you become the New Mainstream.

Even the tiniest effort produces vast results. Please trust. And thank you for being in my world.

love and pain… sweet tides

[ 5 of 8 ]

“My Inner Guide works with me on many levels: conscious, subconscious, and unconscious.

Even when I cannot consciously feel my Inner Guide’s love and direction, I can be confident that my Inner Guide is operating on very deep levels to bring about my healing.

(This is true for all types of pain and healing.)”

Pain and depression are two sides of a coin, like hope and worry. Pain often instigates activity, while depression defeats activity. Our Inner Guides understand that we cannot always act to remove our own pain, and often employ very subtle means of moving us gently to higher ground.

Have you ever had intuitive experiences that helped you move through pain?

(about this image: you may find higher-resolution versions of this series of inner guide cards at my flickr photostream. please feel free to share and print – they are for you.)

gimme that ol’ time karma…

[ 4 of 8 ]

“”When I give to others lovingly my Inner Guide draws energy towards my potential to receive from others as well.

My Inner Guide is constantly working with the people in my life to bring me happiness, joy, prosperity and love.

(Happiness is not only lasting but also unaffected by sorrow. Joy is momentary.)”

Karma definitely behaves like a law of nature. Our Inner Guides can influence our karma (they can’t change it) by aligning circumstances and sending energy in directions that can speed up or delay karma’s ripening, to best help us along our paths.

Do you ever feel like you’re getting “extra help”?

(about this image: you may find higher-resolution versions of this series of inner guide cards at my flickr photostream. please feel free to share and print – they are for you.)

[ 3 of 8 ]

“My Inner Guide accepts even my most negative emotions and actions, and allows these experiences so that I may learn from them.

Even if my anger is directed at my Inner Guide, my Inner Guide understands and still loves me unconditionally.”

I’ve learned to take the view that everything I experience comes directly from my Inner Guide… It’s hard to swallow at times, especially when I feel particularly crappy. But if I operate with the understanding that every appearance to my mind (experience) is a lesson of some form, then I can try to shift my view, and look at unpleasant emotions with curiosity rather than frustration.

With anger in particular, it helps to remember that anger itself doesn’t create negative karma… Angry actions do that.

Have you ever felt angry with “whoever” seems “in charge”?

(about this image: you may find higher-resolution versions of this series of inner guide cards at my flickr photostream. please feel free to share and print – they are for you.)

did you really mean that?

[ 2 of 8 ]

“Even when no one else seems to understand me, my Inner Guide is at one with my thoughts and feelings.

My Inner Guide completely understands and does not judge my innermost secrets.”

Once we understand how inseparable we and our Inner Guides are, we’ll see that there are not secrets with them, and there is also no need for secrets.

Laughter is the best medicine, and sometimes even our perfect Inner Guides tickle us (mercilessly) to loosen us up and get us to realize that our tight point of view is emptier than the sky.

Have you ever felt that “Enlightened Beings” have a sense of humor?

(about this image: you may find higher-resolution versions of this series of inner guide cards at my flickr photostream. please feel free to share and print – they are for you.)

um, about that inner guide thing…

[ 1 of 8 ]

“Even in my most desperate moments, when I feel completely alone, my Inner Guide is right here with me, even if I cannot tell it. Whenever I lose myself in sorrow or excitement I am never alone.”

Our Inner Guides and Spiritual Guides constantly send us their love, guidance and support; sometimes we cannot hear them.

We may feel alone and isolated at times… When this happens, our guides crank up the volume, throw spitballs at us, and trip us up, to get us to slow down and pay attention.

When your world seems to crumble about you, consider that your inner guide may be saying, “Okay, that didn’t work… let’s try this… Can you hear me now?”

Listen closely to our intuition, and ask to be guided and protected by only the purest of guides.

Have you ever felt certain that you were being guided?
